Missionary Work and Charitable Donations

This year we are supporting the Ripple Effect which is a UK-founded international development charity (formerly known as Send a Cow) that works with rural communities in Africa to end hunger and poverty.

We're not only supporting the Ripple Effect through a charitable donation, we're also increasing awareness of the valuable impact of their work by engaging with pupils in our village school to increase their understanding.

The Ripple Effect empowers families in rural Africa to learn more, grow more and sell more, transforming their lives while protecting their environment. Families share what they know and have with their neighbours and wider communities.

We conitnue to support the Exeter Foodbank throughout the year, gifts of tinned and dried food donated at Harvest service and Christmas by parishoners are donated to Exeter Foodbank.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

In 2025 we supported international faith-based charity Mercy Ships that operates the world's largest civilian hospital ships to deliver free, life-saving surgeries and medical care to people in developing nations, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa.

We also supported St Petrock’s, Exeter, Cancer Charity Force, Hospiscare, Devon.

We support a Christian minister in Bihar. This is one of India's most populated, lawless and hostile states. Samuel has two small but growing congregations and works with a lay evangelist. It has been called "The Missionary's Graveyard" In the last five years he has had to cope with floods, vilification from other faiths and the abduction of his wife and youngest daughter-mercifully now recovered.      [email protected]
